A Day above Yorkshire

As a direct result of our recent appearance on BBC Breakfast, Bedale Mayor John Howe, was contacted by John Nowell.  John was based at RAF Leeming in the early 1970s for 12 months where he was trained to fly on the Jet Provost.  He remembers it as a particularly happy time and enjoyed visiting Bedale and the Dales regularly.  John is a keen photographer and has published photographic books with his wife, including one called "A Day above Yorkshire".  He has kindly donated a copy to Bedale Community Library where he hopes it will be enjoyed by the residents of Bedale.  The book will not be available to borrow, but can be looked at in the library, please ask one of our volunteers if you would like to see it.
